1.A planet is the energy that is being expressed in the chart
2.The sign is How that energy will express itself, it modifies the energy like putting a different colored lense over a flashlight the light will shine a different color.
3.the House is where that energy will express itself and in what way
4. The aspects is how the planets involved in the combined connection between the two or more planets will express themselves, you have to take the ruling planet and sign, and houses of the aspecting planets to get a clear picture as to what kind of energy they are manifesting -positive or negative between the planets involved. even a trine can be expressed negatively if not used wisely, all a trine means is a easy flow of energy between the planets involved, but you have to delineate what kind of energy is flowing easily.
